Continuous Furnace Condition Monitoring with IO-Link
In continuous furnaces, it is important to simultaneously monitor multiple locations to ensure that the controlled temperature inside the furnace remains as intended and that there are no temperature variations. The IO-Link Hub UR-DS16TC enables cost-effective multi-point temperature monitoring with reduced wiring requirements. This IO-Link Hub can transmit temperature data from up to 16 thermocouples over a single three-core cabtire cable. By connecting it to a field network via the IO-Link Master UR-ES16DT, abnormalities in furnace wall temperature and changes in temperature distribution can be monitored in real time from a higher-level control system.
