Mixed Juice Box Varieties and Positioning
The color-area mode of the MVS-PM-R pattern matching vision sensor makes it possible to detect differences in package color, preventing different varieties of packaged beverage products from being conveyed.
In addition, the BGS-HDL C-MOS laser sensor with two control outputs can be selected for the vision sensor’s trigger sensor.
The output 1 can be set for a trigger signal to the vision sensor for inspection of mixed product varieties, when a juice box passes at the correct height, leaving output 2 available to detect incorrect orientation when a juice box has fallen over on its side. In this way, both camera triggering and sideways package detection can be performed using a single sensor.

Character recognition of "+"
OCR vision sensor MVS-OCR2 can check if the shelf life is printed correctly or not on the carton box.
Print inspection of low contrast printings on the carton box is also possible by utilizing its high performance ability of extracting characters. MVS-OCR2 can recognize "+", which would be used for a mark that means produced at a factory, as a character not just detecting existence of a mark.

Print inspection for date and lot number in two level accuracy
Two different accuracy inspection is possible on MVS-OCR2. Severe inspection on date and rough inspection on the lot number for example.
Generally, it will be OK when the lot number is not printed so clearly if it can be read without problems. Although, date must be printed clearly and correctly.

Print inspection on milk package
When the thickness of the printing deviated, you can check the printing by counting character number instead of recognition of characters.
Model: Character recognition vision sensor CVS4-R Series
Three cameras inspection independently
Up to 3 cameras can be connected to one controller MVS-DN(DP) and inspection can be done independently.
For example, one camera checks existence of the straw on the side, another camera checks direction of the package and last camera checks date and lot number from top. You don't have to have 3 controllers for 3 cameras.
Model: Multi camera vision sensor MVS Series
Checking if the sealing of package is done correctly or not
When the sealing is not done correctly, the shape of the sealing part shows differently so pattern matching camera can detect it.
Model: Color pattern matching camera MVS-PM-R Series
Checking position of shrink label on the bottle
Checking position of shrink label on the bottle by pattern matching camera MVS-PM-R.
"contour" function will work fine for this application.

Print inspection on transparent bottle
At the bottling line, water splashes may occur sometime to keep production line clean. In that case, CVS4-R can be used without problems because it's IP67 protection rating.
